Hall of Fame
Fox is a native of Ninety Six, S.C. and was an outstanding athlete at Newberry College. From 1931-1934, he was a four year letterman in baseball. He played first baseman. He was a four year manager for the Indian Football Team. He spent several years playing semi pro baseball in Georgia-Carolina League. He was instrumental in establishing American Legion baseball as he coached the Ninety-Six/Greenwood program from 1947-1961. He served 36 years as an educator with many South Carolina school districts and served his last 12 years as superintendent.
