Rick Ladimir was undoubtedly the top offensive player in the history of Newberry’s men’s soccer program, earning a number of honors and writing the record book. He earned all-South Atlantic Conference honors in 1999, 2000 and 2001. Ladimir was the 1999 South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year and was named all-Southeast Region by the NSCAA in 2001. The Hudson, Fla., native holds the Newberry College records for most career points (119), most career goals (53), most single season points (45), most single season goals (20), most individual match points (11) and most individual match goals (5). He ranks eighth in the history of the South Atlantic Conference for career goals and was a member of the physical education majors club while at Newberry. He is the first men’s soccer player to be inducted to the Newberry Athletics Hall of Fame.
