Hall of Fame
Tommie was from North, S.C. and was an all-around athlete that played both baseball and football. He lettered in baseball for the three years that he played. He was a three year letterman in football where he was the captain his senior year. Tommie compiled numerous honors. He was selected second team Little Three as a sophomore, his junior year he was named All-Carolina Conference, NAIA District 26 team, and was an Honorable Mention All-American. He was a member of the Block ‘N’ Club for three years. After graduating from Newberry, Tommie has been a very successful high school coach in the Columbia area.
