Nick is from Youngstown, OH and was described by Coach Laval as “one of the finest football tackles that he ever coached.” He lettered in football and received Little All American honors in his senior year. To cap his career of he was voted Second Team All-State. After graduating, he played professional football with the Charlotte Clippers for a year before being drafted by the Air Force. He was known for his hard nosed approach. “Mook” was a real student of the game who left a lasting effect on his teammates and opponents. He best friend Don CoAngelo is also a member of the Hall of Fame.
