Newberry College Athletics

Charles Berry is a Jacksonville, Fla., native who came to Newberry College in 1949. Charles was a member of the football team for four years and lettered three times. He was co-captain his senior year and was named Honorable Mention All-State his first three years. Along with his football career he participated in basketball. He was named Honorable Mention All-Little Four his senior for basketball. Along with his athletic and academic responsibilities he remained an active member of PHI TAU all four years at Newberry College.
