His senior year was just as successful as once again he was named Lutheran College All American, Most Valuable Lineman, All District, and was Co-Captain of the team. He earned two letters in baseball as a pitcher and outfielder. After the 1969 season, he named MVP and All District. He was selected to play on the college All Star team that toured the Far East in 1969. Roger struck out 21 batters in 15 innings. He graduated in 1970 with a degree in education.
