Newberry College Athletics

Thomas came to Newberry from Pomaria in 1925 and quickly established himself as an outstanding athlete. He played on the football, basketball, and his baseball teams in his freshman year and went on to letter in each sport during his three upperclassmen years. He played center on the football team, center on the basketball team, and pitcher on the baseball team. His great all around athletic ability established him as an outstanding athlete.
