Newberry College Athletics

Fred of Hartwell, GA compiled impressive statistics during his years at Newberry College. He was a member of  the All-Conference team from 1960-1963, All-District 1961-1963, All-State 1962-1963. In addition to being Honorable Mention All-American in 1962 and Third Team All-American in 1963, he was a four year lettermen, he was named most valuable linemen, and won the Kirkland Blocking Award in 1964. He was recipient in the Laval Award in 1963.
