Newberry College Athletics

William came to Newberry College in 1930 from Canfield, Ohio. During each of his four years he lettered in basketball, football, and Track. As a senior he was chosen as Most Athletic and was the captain of basketball team. He was All-State in football and gained national attention in track by placing in the national decathlon.
