Newberry College Athletics

Robert is a native of Prosperity, S.C. and he lettered in football, baseball, & tennis in his four years. He was a left fielder on the baseball team from 1911-1914. He was the player-coach on the 1914 team and was member of the 1912 state championship baseball team. In 1912, he was a member of the state champion tennis team and in 1913 he played in the backfield of Newberry College’s first football team.
