Newberry College Athletics

Pat Merrick, from Warren, OH was an outstanding athlete at Newberry College from 1962-1963. He was a four year letterman at center and linebacker. He led the team in tackles in 1963’, 64’, & 65’. He was a three year All-Conference, Honorable Mention All American, and was selected as Newberry’s Outstanding Lineman in 1964 & 65’. Pat was an All-State and was awarded the Kirkland Blocking Award in 1965.
