Newberry College Athletics

Sack came from Greenville, SC in 1938. He earned four letters in football, four in basketball, three in track, and one in baseball. This was indicative of his great athletic ability. He served as co-captain of the 1941 football team and for his outstanding performance was selected to play in the North Carolina vs. South Carolina Shrine All-Star game which was played after the 1941 football season. Sack was truly one of Newberry’s all time athletes.
