Todd Frazier arrived at Newberry College from Clinton in 1985 and instantly became a force for the basketball program. As a freshman, the six-foot-seven center won the team award for Most Improved Player. During his sophomore campaign, Frazier started all thirty games and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player. Todd had a historic junior season.

After gaining Player of the Week honors during the year, Frazier was voted the NAIA District Six Player of the Year and was honorable mention for the 1987-88 NAIA All-America and Street & Smith’s All-America teams. Todd was also named Newberry College’s Most Valuable Player for the second straight season. In his senior season, Todd was named Newberry College’s Most Valuable Player for the third consecutive season and also to the NAIA District Six second team. In his career at Newberry, Todd Frazier scored 2,019 points.
