Newberry College Athletics

Carl Stegall, from Pendelton, S.C., was a four year starter in basketball from 1946-1950.

He led the team in rebounding and in scoring from 1947-1950. He was All-Tournament, Little Four All-Tourney team in 1950 and Honorable Mention All-State in 1949. He had a single game high of 38 points against the Citadel in 1950 and was named team captain and All-State that same year.
