A native Edgefield, S.C., Raleigh Yeldell (2013-16) established himself as one of the most dangerous offensive threats in Newberry College football history. At the time of his induction, he was Newberry's single season record holder for most yards passing (3,087) and yards of total offense (3,418) in a single season (2016). Raleigh was the 2016 South Atlantic Conference and ECAC Offensive Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy which honors the best player in NCAA Division II. He also set school records that season for most pass attempts (370) and completions (260) while his 27 touchdown passes that season ranked second most in school history. He finished his career fourth in career total offense (7,026 yards), fifth in career passing yards (5,499), fourth in completions (481), and third in touchdown passes (47). He led Newberry College to an overall record of 31-16 including a 19-9 mark in conference play and three appearances in the NCAA playoffs. He helped lead the Wolves to the 2016 South Atlantic Conference title with a perfect 7-0 record.
