Newberry College Athletics

Rashaad Carter enjoyed a stellar basketball career that saw him earn All-SAC Freshman Team honors in 2001 before becoming a two-time First Team All-SAC selection in 2003 and 2004. He was named Newberry College Male Athlete of the Year in 2004 and earned All-SAC Tournament Team recognition that same season. Carter remains tied for sixth in program history for field goals made in a single game.

During his four seasons he scored.  His 72.2% career field goal percentage ranks 8th in Newberry College history, 

His senior season he averaged 15.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while shooting 49% from the floor and leading the Indians to a 16-13 overall record and 8-6 mark in the South Atlantic Conference.  He scored a season-high 28 points on 13-17 shooting in a 77-67 victory over Carson-Newman at home on January 28, 2004.  Carter ralied the Wolves from a 40-36 halftime deficit by hitting seven of eight shots from the floor.  His 13 made field goals is tied for sixth in Newberry College single season history.

Following his collegiate career, he continued his success professionally, playing for BC Weissenhorn in Germany, where he averaged 21.8 points per game.
