Newberry College Athletics

Frank came from Little Mountain in 1918 and began an illustrious athletic career. During that year he played football, basketball, and baseball. He went on to letter in each sport until he graduated in 1922. In his senior year he was captain of the basketball team and voted best all around athlete. News of his baseball talent traveled quickly and he was able to play semi-pro baseball for several years in both North & South Carolina.
