Olin McCurry, a football letterman, had distinguished career playing both offense and defense at its tackle position. For three years he earned a spot on All-Little Three team and was named to the All-State team in 1955. Having been Honorable Mention in 1954, in 1955 he was Honorable Mention for the Little All American team. During his senior year, he was one of the most respected players in the state despite playing with a serious knee injury.
