Newberry College Athletics

Gregory only had to walk across the street from Newberry High School. His football skills at the defensive end and linebacker brought great credit to himself and his team.  He was All-District for three years and Lutheran College All-American in 1971 and 1972. He was All-State in 1973, Honorable Mention All-American in 1972 & 1973. Gregory was drafted to the St. Louis Cardinals and he also played for the Washington Redskins before a knee injury ended his career.
