NEWBERRY, S.C. – In a year full of firsts for the women's rugby team, another first has been added to the substantial list as junior wing Taqwai Seburn (Warner Robins, Ga.) has been honored as an honorable selection to the 2022-23 All NIRA team for Division II. 

The list, which is voted on by the coaches of all NIRA programs for their respective divisions, was announced earlier today and was composed of 25 representatives from Division I, II, and III institutions in a first team and honorable mention format.

Seburn was a key member of Newberry's inaugural women's rugby team, appearing in all 14 contests for the Wolves and finishing the season second on the team in tries with eight and first in solo tackles with 41. The speedy wing was also able to display her athleticism and pace with seven twenty yard runs, which was good for second on the team.
