NEWBERRY, SC- Newberry junior Gage Vigar has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league official. 

Vigar totaling eight points on six goals and two assists. In the Wolves' 8–6 road victory over the University of Indianapolis, Vigar fueled the offense with five points (3 goals, 2 assists), placing all five of his shots on goal while adding three ground balls. His efficient and composed play helped secure a key nonconference win. He followed that performance with another strong outing against No. 11 Lewis University, recording three goals on six shots, including five shots on goal, against one of the nation's top-ranked programs. For the week, Vigar shot 54.5 percent (6-of-11) and placed an impressive 90.9 percent of his shots on goal (10-of-11), averaging 4.0 points per game while serving as Newberry's primary offensive catalyst

Men's lacrosse will be back in action on Wednesday, March 4, on the road against Catawba College at 7 PM.
