This week's South Carolina Army National Guard Newberry College Players of the Week are freshman Jada Brown (Richmond Hill, Ga.) and senior Caiden Pelc (Portland, Mich.).

Brown scored a career-best 25 points and added a career-high 15 rebounds in the Wolves 75-71 overtime victory over Tusculum.  She made 10-14 field goals, all five free throw attempts, dished out two assists, had a steal and grabbed 10 offensive rebounds to spark the Wolves to their third consecutive conference win.  In her last two games she has scored 35 points, grabbed 29 rebounds and made 15 of 21 shots for 71.4%.
 
Pelc pulled off an impressive victory, pinning UNC Pembroke wrestler Logan Robinson, the #5 ranked wrestler in the country at 133 pounds in the Wolves dual against the #24 ranked Braves.  Pelc pinned Robinson at the 2:08 mark to earn the victory and improve his record to 7-3 on the season.  He is 4-1 against Conference Carolinas foes with his only loss coming to the #6 ranked wrestler in the country in a 3-2 decision.
