LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced its Division II Preseason All-Americans today, and Newberry's Baker Westmoreland was named to the Second Team as a midfielder.

Westmoreland was previously named to the South Atlantic Conference's First Team Preseason All-Conference a week ago, and was also named to the USILA Second Team All-Region South at the conclusion of the 2023 campaign.

Westmoreland scored 33 goals and added 15 assists a season ago for the Wolves who had their winningest season in program history with 11 wins, including the first SAC Tournament win in program history over Lincoln Memorial in the quarterfinal round.

Newberry's 2024 season begins on Saturday, Feb. 10 in a neutral-site game versus Lynn in Jacksonville, Fla. Game time is to be determined.
