NEWBERRY, SC- Newberry junior Houston Horton has been named the South Atlantic Conference Specialist Player of the Week, announced by the league office. This marks his second time earning the award this season.

Horton delivered a dominant performance at the faceoff X in Newberry's conference victory, controlling possession throughout the game with a 13-of-20 showing (.650 faceoff percentage). His consistency provided the Wolves with key extra possessions in a tightly contested matchup.

He also led the team with 10 ground balls, repeatedly securing possession after wins at the X and helping extend Newberry's offensive opportunities. Horton added an assist, contributing directly to the scoring effort. 

The Wolves will be back in action on Saturday, April 18, at 7:00 PM as they host Tusculum University at Setzler Field.
