ANDERSON, SC - The Newberry Wolves men's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to Anderson in road action.
The Trojans gained early momentum by securing the doubles point, taking the advantage into singles play.
Newberry's lone victory came at No. 4 singles, where Senthen Reddy delivered a strong performance with a 6-0, 6-4 win.
Two other singles matches were left unfinished in tightly contested battles. At No. 5, Noel Bartz split the first two sets and was tied early in the third at 6-1, 1-6, 1-1 when play was halted. At No. 3, Martin Posada Garcia also forced a third set after dropping the opener, with his match left unfinished at 2-6, 7-5, 2-1.
The Wolves will return to the courts on April 4th to face off agianst UVA Wise on their Senior Day at the Oakland Tennis Center
