Wolves Fall on the Road to No.9 Catawba, 4-0

SALISBURY, NC - The Newberry College men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 South Atlantic Conference matchup on the road to No.9 Catawba.

The Wolves battled throughout the lineup but were unable to secure the doubles point, falling in the top two positions. The duo of Daniel Watson and Martin Posada faced a tough challenge at No. 1 doubles, while Senthen Reddy and Sohei Kamiyama also came up short at No. 2. The pairing of Maxime Dierickx and Noel Bartz saw their match go unfinished at No. 3.

In singles play, Newberry showed resilience despite the final score. Daniel Watson competed at the top spot, while Senthen Reddy and Martin Posada each battled in straight-set decisions at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.

The Wolves also saw competitive efforts in unfinished matches, as Maxime Dierickx, Sohei Kamiyama, and Noel Bartz each pushed into extended play before their contests were halted.

Newberry will face off against Lincoln Memorial University next on March 25th at the Oakland Tennis Center.
