NEWBERRY, SC - The Newberry Wolves men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to Coker University on Tuesday morning in conference action.

Coker gained early momentum by taking the doubles point, winning matches at No. 2 and No. 3. The Wolves' top doubles team of Daniel Watson and Martin Posada Garcia battled to a 5-5 tie before the match went unfinished.

In singles play, Coker secured three victories to clinch the match. Martin Posada Garcia fell at No. 2 singles in straight sets, followed by Noel Bartz at the No. 4 position. Lucas Mruk then dropped his match at No. 5 singles, sealing the win for the Cobras.

Several other matches were left unfinished, including Daniel Watson at No. 1, Senthen Reddy at No. 3, and Sohei Kamiyama at No. 6, all of whom were still competing when play was halted.

The Wolves will prepare for their next match up on April 11th to face off against Carson Newman in Jerfferson City, TN.
