This week's South Carolina Army National Guard Newberry College Players of the Week are senior pitcher Natalie Wescott (Massapequa, N.Y.) and sophomore attacker Liam Vollans (Peterborough Ontario).
 
Wescott picked up two complete game victories in two starts to spark the Wolves softball team to a 3-1 record.  She allowed only four runs over 14 innings including an eight-inning complete game performance in the Wolves 7-5 victory over Lee.  Westcott allowed only two runs on six hits in the 10-2 victory over Augusta.
 
Vollans led the Wolves to a pair of victories with eight goals and seven assists.  He had five goals and three assists in the Wolves 23-5 win at Lees-McRae and three goals and four assists in a 15-9 home win over Mount Olive.  During the Wolves' three-game winning streak Vollans has 11 goals and eight assists and leads the team with 12 goals and 14 assists.
