NEWBERRY, SC- The Newberry Wolves men's tennis team put up a valiant fight but came up short against Georgia College, falling 7-0.
The highlight of the doubles competition came from the pairing of Lucas Mruk and Senthen Reddy, who battled their way into a tiebreaker before narrowly falling 6-7 (4-7).
In singles play, David Negzaoui found himself in a hard-fought battle, splitting sets but ultimately dropping a close tiebreaker in the second set to fall 3-6, 6-7 (6-8).
Noel Bartz also showcased his fighting spirit in a tough singles match, pushing the first set to a tiebreaker before falling 6-7 (3-7), 3-6.
The Wolves will compete next on February 25th at Lander University in Greenwood, SC.
