Box Score NEWBERRY, S.C. - Men's tennis drops their conference matchup against Tusculum 3-4.
The day started a little cold for the Wolves in doubles, with the only duo to come out with a win was
Lucas Mruk/
Thilo Lorenz. Although they felt some resistance, the duo was able to push the win 7-5. On court one, the duo of
David Negzaoui and
Joshua Fritz came close to getting the Wolves another win, dropping their match in a tight 4-6 battle.
Freshman
Noel Bartz continues to have himself an impressive week after his jaw dropping match against Mars Hill. Unlike that match, Bartz was able to no diff. his opponent, taking the first set 6-2 followed by a smoother 6-1 set. Negzaoui found redemption on court two, earning his win in two 6-4 sets. The last win came from
James Vincent who is also having himself an impressive week. After handily beating his opponent 6-2 in the first set, Vincent came within inches of icing the match but fell short losing 6-7. The third set would not go easily for either athlete but Vincent proved he had more gas in his tank, pushing the set all the way to a 10-8 win.
The Wolves stay at home this weekend where they'll face their third conference match against Emory & Henry at 2 P.M.
