DAHLONEGA, Ga - The Newberry College men's (1-2) and women's (2-0) tennis teams take on University of North Georgia (M/W 1-0) tomorrow, Feb. 13 at 11 A.M.

  • The Women's team is currently ranked 11th Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) standings after defeating Carson-Newman, 5-2.
  • In singles, the Nighthawks have two women and one male ranked in the ITA top 50.

  • In doubles the woman's team has two duos ranked in the top 25.
    • #18 Johanna Lippert and Viktorie Wojcikova
    • #22 Angelina Linnikova and Svetlana Teterina
    • The Nighthawks are off to a 1-0 start for the 2024 spring season. They defeated the Eagles of Carson-Newman 5-2 in their last time out.
    • North Georgia's #1 doubles team in Robin Eldin and Joaquin Benoit are off to a 1-0 start. Benoit and Eldin defeated the Carson-Newman team of Van Dalen and Hordijk by a 6-3 decision in their last bout
    • Benoit is also the #1 singles player for the Nighthawks and is ranked 22nd in the nation. Benoit defeated Carson-Newman's Marnix Van Dalen by a 7-5, 4-6, 7-5 decision.
