Wolves Ranked Number 12 in the NCBWA Preseason Poll.

WINGATE, N.C. - The Newberry College baseball team was picked 12th in the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) preseason top 25 poll announced this afternoon.

The Wolves are coming off a historic season where they set the school record 43 wins, won their second SAC Championship, and hosted a regional in the NCAA Division II tournament.

The Wolves were picked preseason favorites in the South Atlantic Conference and second in the presason NCBWA Southeast Region Poll announced yesterday.

Angelo State, was picked first with all 17 first place votes after winning the National Championship in 2023.

The Wolves will start their 2024 campaign as they travel to Florence next Friday to face the Patriots of Francis Marion University in a three game series that will include the Wolves home opener on the Sunday.
