ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA. – The Newberry College men's golf team got their season underway this week at the Jay Jennison Cup in St. Augustine, Fla.
 
The Wolves placed ninth out of 13 teams that participated in the Tournament hosted by Flagler College.
Leading the pack was sophomore Herman Du Plessis who shot 134 throughout the two rounds for the Wolves. Du Plessis finished tied for 16^th overall in the tournament.
Tom Hull and Benedikt Fischer shot 145 and 146 for the Wolves.
 
The Wolves will be back in action next week as they will participate in the Cateechee Fall Invitational hosted by Lander at the Cateechee Golf Club in Hartwell, Ga.
