CAYCE, S.C. – The Newberry men’s tennis team was dropped by Anderson 8-1 Saturday afternoon at the Cayce Tennis Center.

Anderson (15-4, 5-3 SAC) took two of three doubles matches against Newberry (15-5, 6-3 SAC). Logan Adkins and Richard Zeh scored an 8-6 decision at No. 2 doubles. The duo picked up their 14th victory of the season and sixth win in SAC play.

The Trojans swept through singles play against the Wolves. Newberry kept things close at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Jordan Monosky (4-6, 6-4, 10-4) and Nikhil Mannepalli (6-4, 2-6, 10-4) both pushed their matches to three sets.

Newberry will travel to Lincoln Memorial (12-2, 5-1 SAC) next Saturday. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
