GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Newberry College men’s tennis team fell to the Tusculum Pioneers 7-2 on Sunday afternoon inside the Nichols Tennis Complex.
The Wolves were only able to claim one point in doubles action and one point in singles action against the No. 43 ranked Pioneers.
In singles competition, Richard Zeh defeated David Siegle 8-4 at the No. 6 slot. Due to the match already clinched, the Zeh match went to eight points in the first set.
The lone point in the doubles section cam in the No. 3 matchup as Jordan Monosky and Angel Pizarro defeated Nicolas Planchard and David Siegle 8-6.
Newberry returns to action at Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory, North Carolina at 11 a.m. on Friday April 3.
