HILTON HEAD ISLAND - The Newberry College men's tennis team defeated Tiffin on Thursday afternoon 7-2 at Spring Fest.

The Wolves swetp the doubles competition as Fernando Tous and Fernando Espana won at the No. 1 doubles contest due to retirement from their opponents. Richard Zeh and Carlos Nicolopulos earned an 8-4 win at the No. 2 doubles contest and Angel Pizzaro and Jordan Monosky won at the No. 3 matchup 8-5.

Espana won at the No. 1 positiion 6-1, 6-2. Monosky took a 7-5, 6-3 decision at the No. 4 contest. Zeh won by default in the No. 5 slot. At the No. 6 position Marko Sekulic earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory.

The Wolves return to aciton on March 17 versus Wingate at 2 p.m. from Newberry's Cannon Courts.
