DUE WEST - The Newberry College men's tennis team swept doubles action on the way to a 7-2 win at Erskine on Thursday.
Newberry is now 4-0 in duals in the fall season and will close out the fall schedule with a dual against Benedict, tentatively scheduled for Sunday.
The Wolves' top two doubles teams remained undefeated on the season, as Fernando Espana and Fernando Tous cruised to an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles, and Jordan Monosky and Jacob Svantesson won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.
Angel Pizarro and Alejandro Feliciano won 8-2 at No. 3 doubles to put the Wolves up 3-0.
Espana won an easy 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 1 singles, and Svantesson's 7-6, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles clinched the win. Also picking up singles wins were Pizarro at No. 4 and Marko Sekulic at No. 6.
