NEWBERRY - Senior Vinicius Botelho picked up a pair of victories at the Cannon Tennis Courts on Thursday as the Wolves fell to the No. 30 Limestone Saints by a score of 7-2.
The Wolves (9-10) earned one point in doubles play as senior No. 1 pair of Botelho (Fortaleza, Brazil) and David Sons (Lexington, S.C.) took an 8-3 decision from Limestone's (10-7) Antoine Le Dore and Stefano Soares.
Newberry's second and final team point came at No. 1 singles as Botelho knocked off Le Dore in straight sets. Botelho's win was his second straight after moving to the No. 1 spot.
Sunday serves as the final day of the regular season for the Wolves as King travels to Newberry for a 2 p.m. non-conference match.
