NEWBERRY, S.C.- The Newberry College men's tennis team (3-4) fought hard but weren't able to pull out a win against Barton College (13-3) this afternoon, 7-2.  An outstanding effort was put forth by the entire team. 

Today seemed as if it were senior day with both singles points being posted by Toby Rawlings and Oliver Elston, playing at numbers four and six singles, respectively.  Each senior was able to take their opponent into three sets. 

Within doubles, each set of teams fought long and hard but Barton took all three matches.

Newberry will next host Coker College on Thursday, March 16 at 2:30 p.m. Barton will travel to USC Aiken tomorrow, with its match starting at 3 p.m.
