The Newberry College women's tennis team completed a successful week with a crucial 4-1 homecourt victory over UVA Wise late Saturday night.
The conclusion of the match was delayed by four hours due to a thunderstorm, but when it resumed,
Renee Dorval clinched her win at #5 singles 7-6.6-3 to secure the win for the Wolves.

Newberry then got wins from Dorval,Â
Yui Suzuki (6-3, 6-3) and Vernon (6-2, 6-3) to improve the Wolves overall record to 13-4 and league record to 6-3 and fourth place in the conference standings with one week of play remaining before the 2026 South Atlantic Conference Postseason Tournament in Sumter.
