Sophomore triple jumper Dwayne Weiters is preparing to compete in the NCAA Division 2 Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Vtirginia Beach Sports Center| Virginia Beach, Va.

The South Atlantic Conference champion will compete Saturday at 12 noon.

He has the 10th best performance out of a field of 18 competitors.

 Weiters season best  jump of 15.21m (49-11.00) in the SAC Indoor Championships shattered his own school record of 48-10 to win the title.

He has taken a big step forward as a sophomore after his best jump a year ago was 46-11.5 as a freshman at Limestone.

Weiters is the first Wolf to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in the triple jump and the first to win a SAC title in the event.
