Greenville, S.C. – The Newberry Wolves secured a 5th-place team finish at the 2025 South Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championship, held at The Preserve at Verdae. The Wolves were led by Tom Hull, who delivered a steady performance throughout the tournament to claim 9th overall at +2.
Hull wrapped up his championship with a final-round 73 (+1), highlighted by a clean front nine at even par (36) and two birdies on the back. His overall consistency across all three rounds was pivotal in Newberry's top-five team finish.
Josh Greig and Christian Kuehl both carded 76 (+4) in the final round. Greig finished tied for 29th at +12, while Kuehl climbed two spots on the leaderboard to land in 33rd at +13, bolstered by a birdie on the par-3 14th.
Benny Fischer, who made a big move in round two, posted a 77 (+5) on the final day to finish 25th at +11. Despite the slight slide in the final round, Fischer's tournament was marked by resilience and strong middle-round play.
Javier Borrego Martin shot 80 (+8) in Round 3, rounding out Newberry's scoring five and placing 50th at +22. His birdie on the par-4 6th was one of the highlights of his day.
