NEWBERRY, SC - The Newberry Wolves women's lacrosse team delivered a commanding performance in their season opener, shutting out Emory & Henry 21-0 in a decisive victory. From the opening draw, Newberry set the tone, scoring early and often while showcasing outstanding defensive play.

Emma Jobs struck first for the Wolves, followed by goals from Scythe Shephard, Dakota Beasley, and Lana Howell to give Newberry a quick 4-0 lead. The offense kept rolling with Nicole Dinapoli, Amelia Hawkes, and Howell adding to the scoreboard, pushing the Wolves to a 9-0 advantage at the end of the first period.

The second period saw more of the same dominance, as Shephard, Serena Elias, and Aniella Casper extended the lead. Hawkes capitalized on man-up opportunities, tallying multiple goals.
