MOUNT PLEASANT, SC – The Newberry Wolves women's golf team concluded the Low Tide Intercollegiate at Dunes West Golf and River Club in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, finishing 12th out of 14 teams with a total score of 970 over three rounds.
Chloe Tanner made significant progress, climbing 11 spots to finish with a total score of 238, improving each round with scores of 83, 78, and 77, respectively. This marks her best collegiate round to date.
Curstan Blanche also showed improvement, moving up two positions to finish with a total score of 260, recording rounds of 89, 88, and 83.
Both Tanner and Natalia Aguilar recorded the team's lowest individual rounds of the tournament, each scoring 238. Blanca Noriega Villar and Ashton Moseley contributed consistent performances, aiding the team's overall placement.
The team's round scores were 323, 322, and 324, totaling 970 for the event. Looking ahead, the Wolves are set to compete in the SSU Tiger Spring Invite, hosted by Savannah State University, from March 10 to March 11.
