OKATIE, S.C. — The Newberry College women's golf team wrapped up play at the Oldfield Intercollegiate, hosted by USC Beaufort women's golf at Oldfield Club, finishing 12th overall with a two-round total of +93. The Wolves improved in the final round, cutting seven strokes off their opening score after posting a +50 in round one and a +43 on Tuesday.
Newberry was led by Natalia Aguliar, who tied for 40th at +16 (80-80). Aguliar opened with a +8 round of 80, highlighted by a strong 39 on the front nine, and followed with another consistent round on day two. Chloe Tanner finished tied for 53rd at +21 (82-83), carding a +10 (82) in the opening round behind a balanced 42-40 split. Anais Oelius placed 60th at +23 (87-80), bouncing back from a challenging first round to post one of the team's best scores in the final round. Rushna Ali recorded a +35 (89-90) to finish 71st, while Ashton Moseley rounded out the lineup in 74th at +45 (101-88), showing the largest improvement on the team with a 13-stroke drop in round two.
The Wolves competed in a strong field that included nationally ranked programs such as SCAD Savannah and Embry-Riddle (FL). Newberry returns to action March 23–24 at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational.
