NEWBERRY, SC - Newberry put on an offensive clinic at the Smith Road Complex, rolling past Erskine with a commanding 15-2 victory on Tuesday afternoon. The Wolves struck early and often, scoring in seven of eight innings while racking up 15 hits. K.J. Leshko provided a spark off the bench with two runs scored, while Kade Faircloth and Logan Busenlehner combined for six RBI. On the mound, Newberry's pitching staff kept Erskine in check, allowing just two runs on five hits while striking out seven. With the dominant win, the Wolves improved to 11-5 on the season, continuing their strong start.

Newberry set the tone by scoring in the first four innings, including a four-run third and a three-run fourth.

The Wolves racked up two triples and a double, making the gap in right center their best friend.

Newberry drew seven walks and took four hit-by-pitches, constantly putting runners on base.

The Wolves' pitching staff of Jacob Clark (5.0 IP), Jacob Cogdell (1.0 IP), Josh Bandy (2.0 IP), and John Rollings (1.0 IP) allowed just five hits and two runs over nine innings, striking out seven.

Newberry played a clean game in the field with zero errors, backing up their pitchers with strong defense.

With the victory, the Wolves improved to 11-5 on the season, building momentum for their next matchup on the road in a three-game SAC series vs. Limestone. Game one will start at 5pm on Friday (Feb. 28) with the series deciding double-header on Saturday (Feb. 29) at 1pm and 3pm.
