This week's South Carolina Army National Guard Newberry College Players of the Week are sophomore guard Rickell Brown (Sumter)  and freshman wrestler Gage Summers (Franklinville, NJ).

Brown averaged 23.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game and shot 53 percent from the floor in leading the Wolves to a pair of victories.  She scored 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out two assists, blocked a shot and came up with three steals against Barton and followed that up with 26 points, three steals and six rebounds while making 10-of-17 shots from the floor against North Greenville.

Summers had an outstanding week at 125 pounds, pinning Emmanuel's Alex McMiller in the Wolves 45-3 victory over the Lions.  At the King Open he earned a 19-5 major decision, a 27-11 technical fall and a 7-1 decision to a earn a share of the title.
