HARROGATE, TN - The Newberry College Women's Soccer were strong on the road, securing a 1-1 draw at Lincoln Memorial University Women's Soccer on Wednesday afternoon at LMU Soccer Field. The result improves the Wolves to 5-4-2 overall and 1-4-1 in SAC play.

The scoring got underway in the 47th minute when Isabella Altorfer took advantage of a setup from Sandra Brennan, finding the back of the net for her second goal of the season, giving Newberry a 1-0 lead. The Railsplitters answered in the 86th minute, to tie the match at 1-1.

Defensively, the Wolves' back line held strong, and goalkeeper Madison Gutierrez turned aside 11 shots to keep Newberry in contention throughout. With this point secured, Newberry looks ahead to the remainder of its SAC schedule and will face off against Emory & Henry in their Senior Day on Saturday at 2pm.
