Irma Watson-Perez, a senior thrower from Sanford, Fla., has been named the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Indoor Field Athlete of the Week after a record-breaking performance at the Mondo College Invitational. Watson-Perez claimed first place in the weight throw with an impressive distance of 16.85 meters, setting a new school record. Her throw ranks in the top 35 of all NCAA Division II performances this season and currently stands as the top mark in the SAC. Watson-Perez's achievement highlights her dedication and skill, further solidifying her status as one of the conference's elite throwers.

Watson-Perez and the team will return back to action January 25th at the Virginia Military Institute.
