Despite shooting just 38.7% from the field, Newberry made their mark defensively with six steals and four blocks, forcing 11 turnovers while only committing four themselves.
 
Malakhi Stremlow led the Wolves with a standout performance, recording a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, complemented by two steals and a block. James Lovorn added firepower from beyond the arc, hitting six three-pointers on his way to 18 points. Makhi Rivers and Devario Sheppard also contributed with 15 and 16 points, respectively.

Carson-Newman showcased efficient shooting, finishing at 50.8% from the field and an impressive 53.8% from three-point range.
